A global community advancing political leadership innovation gathered in Berlin for a 2-day learning experience.

The first in-person meeting of the Political Leadership Entrepreneur Network (PLEN) took place in Berlin on 12–13 November 2025, as part of Better Politics Week, hosted by the Better Politics Foundation.
The PLEN is a global multi-partisan community of organizations innovating political leadership. It combines the knowledge and collective power of 120+ organizations with the shared mission to make politics more representative and worthy of the public’s trust.
The two-day gathering marked an important milestone for this growing global community working to strengthen political leadership. More than 60 participants from 35 countries came together, representing a wide range of political systems, cultures, and democratic contexts.
The gathering was designed to build connection and shared understanding. Over two days, participants took part in workshops, panels, simulations, and expert-led sessions. The focus was practical and peer-driven: participants shared real-world experiences from their organizations—what has delivered impact, what has failed, and where the biggest gaps in the field remain. Different political realities sparked honest discussions and fresh perspectives. Participants left with a clearer sense of how approaches to political leadership innovation can be adapted across contexts.
The Berlin gathering also signaled something bigger. The growth of the PLEN reflects a wider shift: political leadership development is becoming a recognized field of innovation, collaboration, and learning.
The PLEN is an expanding network, and we expect it to continue growing each year. We welcome new non-partisan organizations working on political leadership innovation to join the community.
