Provisions on Conduct in the Parliamentary Code


Article 2(3)

  • Prohibits members of Parliament from:
    Calling for violent behavior or engaging in acts of violence in either private or public activities
    Spreading hatred based on sex, gender, or sexual orientation


Article 7

  • Prohibits members from engaging in the following acts toward other representatives of Parliament:
    Spreading malicious or unfounded accusations
    Insulting
    or arguing in a harmful manner
    Blackmailing
    Inciting violence, intolerance, or discrimination


Limitations of the Code

  • While the code outlines unacceptable behaviors, it does not specify any sanctions or punishments for violations of these provisions.

  • As a result, reference is made to the Rules of Procedure of the Croatian Parliament to determine applicable disciplinary actions or penalties for misconduct.
